Meeting Point — Malpaís Dock
The Yasumi Touch
The sea gives. You learn, slice, and taste — a ritual of patience, craft, and calm in motion.
Good to Know
What's included in the price?
Everything, end to end: a private boat with a professional local captain, fuel and fishing equipment, guidance on board throughout, and then the second half — your catch handled, selected, and turned into a full Yasumi meal by our chefs. Sashimi and nigiri from what you caught, plus preparations from our own ingredients to round out the experience. You fish; we take care of the rest.
Where and when do we meet?
The boat departs from the Malpaís dock, a few minutes south of Santa Teresa — you'll find the exact meeting point on the map above. The boat usually departs between 7 and 8 AM, when the sea is calmest — earlier or later is possible on request. We'll confirm your exact time when you book.
What should we bring?
Sunscreen, a hat, and a light jacket for the ride out. Everything else — equipment, guidance, and the meal after — is on us.
What if we don't catch anything?
Then the ocean kept its fish, and you still eat beautifully. Yasumi has everything needed to serve the full restaurant omakase regardless — and if the catch is light, we complement it with our own fish to keep the meal at the level it should be. Nobody leaves hungry or disappointed.
What if the weather turns?
Safety decides, always. If the captain calls off the trip for sea conditions, we'll reschedule your experience or credit what you've paid toward any future Yasumi Experience, subject to availability.
What's the cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit confirms your booking — it covers the boat, crew, and ingredient preparation, and it's non-refundable. Cancel more than 48 hours ahead and the remaining balance is never charged. Within 48 hours, same-day, or no-show, the experience is charged in full.
How many people can join?
From $250 per person, minimum two guests — and no fixed maximum: for larger groups, just enquire and we'll arrange it. Book at least two days ahead so we can coordinate the boat and crew.
